Nicholas Claro holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Wichita State University, where he was the 2023/2024 Fiction Fellow. His work has been nominated for Pushcart Prize (x3), and his stories appear or are forthcoming in Louisiana Literature, Cleaver Magazine, Necessary Fiction, Pithead Chapel, Reckon Review, JMWW, Midway Journal, XRAY, Write or Die Magazine, and others. He is the author of two story collections, This Is Where You Are (Roadside Press, ‘25), and Sedgwick County (forthcoming from Roadside Press, September ‘26). He lives in Wichita, Kansas, with his partner and their two cats, Babka and Manny.
